25-yr-old Miss Njoku was shot dead by armed robbers outside a commercial bank at Suru- Alaba area of Lagos.

It was learned that, the Armed robbers shot Uchechi on her head immediately she stepped out of the bank. After which they stole the N150,000 she withdrew.

One of the armed robbers met his waterloo as he was caught while attempting to escape by angry mob who beat him mercilessly before setting him ablaze.

Spokesperson Lagos state police command CSP Chike Oti, who confirmed the incident, said seven suspects have been arrested.

“We received a distress call that armed robbers had attack a young woman who had gone to the bank to withdraw money. By the time policemen attached to Orile divisional headquarter mobilised to the scene, they discovered that the victim has been shot dead while one of the robbers who was caught was already set ablaze by irate mob.

Undeterred by the jungle justice meted out to one of the robbers, the policemen gave the other robbers a hot chase. The chase eventually paid off as seven suspect were arrested. The suspects have been transferred to State criminal investigation and intelligence department, panti”, he said.
