Man’s corpse floats days after drowning in Rivers State (Photo)

A man’s corpse was spotted floating today in a river in Opobo area of Rivers state, days after he drowned.

The man’s corpse was found floating today and recovered after the sad incident on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. It was gathered that a rescue team had been mobilized to find him. The corpse has been deposited in a morgue, as authorities await identification by family of the deceased.

This came after residents of Bakama in the Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State hailed the heroic effort of a young contractor, Joseph Blackson, who saved 13 passengers, but lost his life during a boat accident that claimed the lives of six persons.
