Senator Dino Melaye who is flying the flag of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) defeated his close rival Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
He polled a total of 85, 395 votes to defeat his APC opponent who scored 66, 902 votes.
Kogi West Senatorial District which comprises of seven LGAs namely Lokoja, Kogi/Koton Karfe, Kabba/Bunu
Ijumu, Yagba East, Yagba West saw Dino winning 6 LGA’s out of 7.
