A female applicant may have shot herself in the foot after rudely blocking a Human Resource (HR) officer, who wanted to update her on the status of a job application.

A social media user identified as @possibleoge shared a screenshot of the WhatsApp conversation between the female job applicant identified as Chioma and the HR.

In the conversation between the two, the HR identified himself as Benson and asked if he was chatting with the right person.

Chioma on the other hand seemed not to be in any mood to entertain strangers as she rudely informed him that she was going to block him on the instant messaging platform.

Staying true to her words, she blocked the harbinger of her good news before she was patient enough to lend a listening ear to the news he wanted to share with her.

As expected, social media users reacted to the post, with some suggesting that no serious company should be contacting an applicant through WhatsApp.

To me Chioma was right. How did Benson get her number and saved it. Why will you send it as WhatsApp message? And Chioma sef body too dey hot every guy doesn't mean arm pic.twitter.com/reRipDBqkc

Thank you. Doesn't make any sense at all.
Even as he decided to use WhatsApp, he should have stated his mission immediately. Not beating about the bush like he came to chyke her.
But then, I no get power to argue, each with their opinions.
