Big Brother Naija: Pepper Dem has finally come to an end with the crowning of the first-ever female BBNaija winner. The moment Mercy Eke, also called ‘Lamborghini Mercy’ was announced as the winner of this year’s Big Brother will forever be remembered in the history of the show.
While we celebrate 99 days of pure drama, here are 16 other things that happened last night at the Big Brother Naija: Pepper Dem finale.
1. The crowd of supporters were on a roll: The fans were on another level yesterday, donned in outfits representing their favourite housemates, and carrying signs filled with adulation of said housemates.
2. The reception of evicted housemates: The evicted housemates were present at the studio yesterday and they received warm welcome from the fans.
3. The Ike chant: Ike did not come in at the same time with the other housemates, but as soon as he walked in, the fans went berserk. Loud chants of ‘Ike, Ike, Ike’, filled the air and it was clear that they adored him.
4. Ebuka’s bedazzled outfits: Ebuka was dripping in bling at the finale. His dazzling blazer from Mai Atafo weighed 9 kilograms. His second outfit also from Mai Atafo, the sparkling Agbada and cap also looked amazing and we are definitely going to miss all that drip!
5. Great music by DJ Obi and DJ Snatch: The studio audience got a chance to party with the same DJs that the housemates partied with on Saturday night. Last night, DJ Obi and DJ Snatch did not fall short of expectations as they dropped hits after hits that got the fans to turn up.
6. Patoranking’s awesome performances: Patoranking opened the show, then came back for a mid-time performance and another one with Tiwa Savage, and he delivered on every one of his performances.
7. M.I schooled Vector: Asides from having a great performance, the ‘Chairman’ also schooled Vector who he has some beef with on the BBNaija stage.
8. Tiwa savage thrilled the fans: Mama Jam-Jam got the crowd dancing to her songs as she delivered one of the best performances yet this season.
9. Seyi Reunited With His Girlfriend: Seyi was the first finalist to leave the house, but the moment he sighted his girlfriend from the audience, he pointed towards her direction excitedly and said, ‘She is here.’
10. Omashola’s loud entrance: In his typical boisterous manner, Omashola made his first appearance to the world since the past 99 days by shouting “Warri!”
11. Frodd’s departure from the house: Frodd was the second runner up of this year’s BBNaija. As he left, he talked about connecting with Esther, entering the entertainment industry and starting a fashion project to be released soon.
12. Mike winning the Bet9ja best time prize: The most surprising part of the night was Mike being announced as the housemate with the best Bet9ja time instead of Omashola.
13. Seyi winning the One organisation endorsement: Seyi was announced as the winner of the One Challenge. He automatically became an ambassador of the brand and won for himself 50,000 US Dollars.
14. Mike’s romantic reunion with his wife: The moment Mike locked eyes with his wife was beautiful. When Mercy was announced as the winner, she went to him and the kiss they shared just made us melt.
15. Mercy crowned the winner of BBNaija and the first woman to ever win BBNaija: Mercy made history last night and she did it so effortlessly. She led the votes with a large margin having secured 41.77 % of the total votes.
16. Ike and Diane’s reunion with Mercy: As soon as Mercy was announced as the winner, Ike and Diane joined her on stage with a bouquet of flowers and a crown. Mercy and Ike then went on to share a passionate kiss as they celebrated her win.
