Rema had his music criticized by a troll on Twitter, but the Mavin record star always has the right answers for his critics and trolls alike.

According to the Twitter user, Rema is misleading foreigners with is meaningless lyrics on his song ‘Lady’, making it seem like the words he strung together were gotten from a Nigerian language.

See his tweet below;

Oyibo will hear Rema say “Achukwuleke make you give me kpalansi scatter your Baka..” and assume it’s Nigerian language. Pls it’s not in Jesus name, amen!

See his response below;

I learnt all these slangs from my hood in Benin city, they all actually have meaning. I create my sounds freely, I can not limit my creativity because of “what people will think” I’m confident in my vibe, accept it. Thank you 🙏🏾 https://t.co/7bluQyO9fw

This is not the first time Rema’s sound has gone under scrutiny for what it is, in similar news, Rema replied a Twitter user with the handle @badniggafela who is finding it difficult to understand his music.

The Twitter user wrote;

“Rema really needs to start speaking and singing for real a not drawing voice like Ogbonno in his songs. Took me a while to understand all he said in IRON MAN”.

However, Rema quickly responded to his criticism by reminding him that the same song was ‘loved’ by Barack Obama.

Responding, Rema wrote;

“But Obama liked it.. Sshhh.”
