Olamide’s YBNL Signs Joint Venture Deal With Empire Distribution

Top Nigerian rapper and record label boss, Olamide Adedeji popularly known as Olamide has announced that his record label, YBNL signed a joint venture deal with American record label, Empire.

Olamide who just dropped his 9th body of work”999″ has signed a new deal with American distribution company and record label popularly known as Empire which is located in the US.

The record label is known to be associated with on hip hop music acts like Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, SZA and other top acts in the US.

The rapper took to his Instagram page and Twitter handle to announce the new collaboration between his record label, YBNL and Empire.

The San Francisco-based company also announced the deal on its own Twitter page:

“Nigeria going global 🇳🇬Excited to continue this journey with you and the YBNL family

Olamide thanked his fans for not giving up on him:

“Big thanks to the fans for holding on for so long and believing.. switching it up n fvcking the world up is the motive. So make nobody fear when gobe start.”

Olamide also hinted that he and Fireboy DML each have an album coming on the way:

“Time to get to work and serve you guys new Baddo album and new Fireboy album who’s ready ? #YBNLEMPIRE”

He shared a photo of himself signing the contract with the caption; “@empire @ybnlmafiafamily JV = time to shake the world”. With this, the rapper becomes the first Nigerian hip hop act to be signed to the record label.

In other news, popular Nigerian music producer, Samklef took to his social media page to acknowledge Olamide’s effort in the Nigerian music scene, by stating that the indigenous rapper has a special place in the Nigerian music industry.
