COVID-19: Masari shuts three more markets in Katsina

Three additional markets of Dutsi, kayawa and Garkin Daura in Katsina State have been shut down by the State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari.

This was contained in a statement released by the Secretary to the Government of Katsina State, Dr Mustapha Inuwa.

Inuwa said the increasing confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state.

He said the shutdown order is with immediate effect as part of the stringent measures to curtail the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

According to him, members of the general public are strongly advised to remain law abiding as law enforcement agents have been directed to ensure total compliance.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that three men have been allegedly apprehended by the men of the Nigerian Police force, Katsina State Command over a defaming video which they made against President Muhammadu Buhari and the state’s governor, Aminu Masari.

In a statement by the spokesperson of the command, SP Isah Gambo on Thursday, the identities of the defaulters were given as 70-year-old Lawal Abdullahi Izala; Bahajaje Abu, 30 and Hamza Abubakar, 27, all of Gafai Quarters, in Katsina metropolis.
