Matchweek 7 of the 2026/27 Premier League season opens with four games today, and the schedule runs from a lunchtime tie on Merseyside to an evening kick-off at St James’ Park. Unbeaten Everton host Chelsea first. Early leaders Manchester City then take on Ipswich Town, while Liverpool visit Brentford after a heavy defeat last weekend. Here is the full programme, with kick-off times in Nigerian time, TV channels and live-stream options.

Premier League fixtures today at a glance

Nigeria (WAT) and the UK (BST) are on the same clock until UK clocks go back on Sunday, October 25. The times below therefore apply in both places.

Kick-off (WAT/UK) Match Venue Where to watch
12:30 pm Everton vs Chelsea Hill Dickinson Stadium TNT Sports 1 in the UK; SuperSport in Nigeria
3:00 pm Brentford vs Liverpool Brentford Community Stadium No UK live broadcast; SuperSport in Nigeria
3:00 pm Fulham vs Hull City Craven Cottage No UK live broadcast; SuperSport in Nigeria
3:00 pm Manchester City vs Ipswich Town Etihad Stadium No UK live broadcast; SuperSport in Nigeria
5:30 pm Newcastle United vs Aston Villa St James’ Park Sky Sports in the UK; SuperSport in Nigeria

Fixtures can move for broadcast or other reasons, so check the club or league channels before you plan your day around a kick-off.

Everton vs Chelsea (12:30 pm): an unbeaten run is on the line

Everton are fifth with 10 points from six games and have not lost in the league. Four of those results were draws. David Moyes was unhappy with the 2-2 draw at Hull City last weekend and called the defending “very, very poor”. Thierno Barry has six goals so far this season, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been a regular source of assists and goals alongside him.

Chelsea sit sixth on the same points total. They arrive in better spirits after a 5-1 win over Bournemouth, which came after a winless spell. Xabi Alonso will be without Jamie Gittens and Emmanuel Emegha, and Reece James is a doubt. Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers and João Pedro lead an attack that scores freely. The worry is at the other end, because Chelsea have conceded 13 times, a joint league high.

The ground has been unkind to them before. Chelsea lost 3-0 on their first visit to the Hill Dickinson Stadium last season. Pre-match probability models still lean towards the visitors, though not by much.

Everton win Draw Chelsea win
31.2% 25.8% 43.0%

TV and stream: In the UK, coverage on TNT Sports 1 starts at 12 pm. Viewers in Nigeria can follow the game on SuperSport through DStv or GOtv.

Brentford vs Liverpool (3:00 pm): a tricky trip for a rattled side

Brentford are fourth and unbeaten, with two wins and four draws. They are a hard side to break down at home. Liverpool come from a 3-0 home defeat to Manchester City and sit ninth on 9 points. A response is expected from them, but this is a tough place to look for one. The probability models make it close, with Brentford slight favourites.

Brentford win Draw Liverpool win
38.9% 25.8% 35.3%

Fulham vs Hull City (3:00 pm): a bottom-of-the-table test at Craven Cottage

Fulham are 20th with 2 points and have yet to win this season, losing four of their six. Their latest setback was a 2-1 defeat at Ipswich. Hull City are eighth on 9 points and drew 2-2 at home to Everton last weekend. Fulham are favoured on paper, but they will need to finish their chances to turn that into a first win.

Fulham win Draw Hull win
57.0% 23.6% 19.4%

Manchester City vs Ipswich Town (3:00 pm): can anyone stop City?

City are top with 18 points from a possible 18, and the 3-0 win at Anfield last weekend made that run look even more convincing. Ipswich are tenth after beating Fulham 2-1 and have three wins from six. The models give City a big edge at the Etihad.

Man City win Draw Ipswich win
77.4% 13.5% 9.1%

Newcastle vs Aston Villa (5:30 pm): two sides in need of a reset

Newcastle are 11th on 8 points after a 4-1 loss at Coventry City on Monday night. Aston Villa are 16th with 5 points and drew 2-2 with Brentford last time out. Neither side wants a slow start to turn into a poor season, which makes this a more important game than the table suggests. The Sky Sports schedule lists the match as live on the channel.

Some listings show an earlier slot for this game. The league data and several broadcast guides point to a 5:30 pm WAT kick-off, so confirm on the Sky Sports or SuperSport schedule before you tune in.

Newcastle win Draw Villa win
41.6% 26.3% 32.1%

Premier League table: where the teams playing today stand

How to watch the Premier League in Nigeria

Matches in Nigeria are shown on SuperSport channels, including SuperSport Premier League, SuperSport Action and SuperSport Football, and what you can watch depends on your package. Most guides list the dedicated Premier League channels as 201, 202 and 203 on DStv. Showmax closed in April 2026, and DStv Stream is now MultiChoice’s main streaming platform. That is the route for watching on a phone or tablet.

Packages and prices change often, and sources do not always agree on them, so check the current price on the official DStv or GOtv page before you pay. Data-conscious fans can wait for the official highlights on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, which usually appear a few hours after full time.

How to watch in the UK and the US

In the UK, the early game is on TNT Sports and the evening game is on Sky Sports. The three 3:00 pm Saturday games are not broadcast live there because of the long-standing Saturday afternoon blackout. In the United States, the early kick-off is at 7:30 am Eastern, and NBC Sports lists the Premier League matches on its schedule.

What is on tomorrow and Monday

The weekend continues on Sunday, October 18, and the headline game is at the City Ground.

Day Kick-off (WAT/UK) Match
Sunday 2:00 pm AFC Bournemouth vs Sunderland
Sunday 2:00 pm Brighton & Hove Albion vs Crystal Palace
Sunday 2:00 pm Leeds United vs Manchester United, live on Sky Sports at Elland Road
Sunday 4:30 pm Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal
Monday 8:00 pm Tottenham Hotspur vs Coventry City

Tottenham are 19th with 3 points and have yet to win this season, so Monday night at home to Coventry matters a great deal to them.
