Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has revealed that the major problem of the country are Nigerians who are only interested in debating issues that have no relationship with national development.
Omokri, a popular commenter on Twitter on Thursday stated that Nigerians are more interested in talking about entertainment and sex but lose interest immediately when the discussions tilts towards “serious issues facing Nigeria”.
According to him, topics like those revolving around Nigerian singer, David Adeleke aka Davido, Big Brother Nigeria, Naira Marley’s ‘Soapy‘ song and dance, sex and so on trends better.
He tweeted:
If you want to discuss serious issues facing Nigeria, Nigerians will tune out. But once you bring up #BBNaija, @iam_Davido, ’Soapy’ dance, sex, etc, they tune back in. The next day, they will complain of Nigeria, not knowing THEY are the problem!
