A suspected kidnapper was nearly beaten to death by a mob during the weekend for allegedly kidnapping a boy at Iyana Ipaja, a Lagos suburb
The suspect who kept the boy inside a sack but was nabbed immediately people suspected his strange moves and nature of the sack. He was approached by people who later found the boy in the sack, stripped off the suspect and beat him up.
A reliable source (name withheld) who witnessed the incident told WITHIN NIGERIA said “We noticed he carried a sack, which, upon enquiry, contained a small boy. We asked him his mission, but he didn’t respond.
“People around raised the alarm. A crowd gathered and started beating him up until he was injured.”
It was gathered that the suspected kidnapper came from Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The suspect has been handed over to the police and the abducted child has been reunited with his parents.
