No fewer than six Catholic faithfuls involved in a tragic accident in Osun state have reportedly lost their lives to the sad incident.
The tragic incident occurred at a sharp bend in Eripa along Iree-Otan Ayegbaju road, Osun State on Sunday, February 9.
According to local report, the deceased were returning from the annual Oke Maria Pilgrimage (Prayer Mountain) in Otan Ayegbaju and they were passengers of an 18-seater Liteace bus belonging to SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Lagere.
It was also learnt that 9 occupants of same vehicle also sustained injuries from the accident.
Reacting to the tragic incident, the Police Public Relations in the state, Folashade Odoro confirmed the accident and revealed that the driver lost control of bus which ran into a ditch.
She urged motorists to avoid over speeding and dangerous driving.
