Some people suspected to be gunmen Wednesday night attacked the Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Oyo State, Barrister Abdulraheem Abiodun.
Sources disclosed that the assailants, believed to be armed robbers attacked white Hilux official vehicle of the Commissioner after the crew dropped the Commissioner at his Olunde house on their way back.
The driver was shot and died immediately while the police orderly, sitting beside the driver was also shot in the arm and is currently receiving treatment at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
The official vehicle littered with blood is currently parked at the Sanyo police station Ibadan pending investigation.
Meanwhile, the Oyo state commissioner for Lands and Housing, Mr Abdu-Raheem Abiodun while reacting to the attack on Wednesday said it was only by chance that he escaped been shot by gunmen who attacked his official vehicle, at his Olomi-Academy residence, Tuesday.
