Sen. Gyang dedicates lecture halls and other facilities at ECWA College

Sen. Istifanus Gyang (PDP-Plateau) has built and furnished a block of three lecture halls, a library, and two office spaces at ECWA Theological College in Zabbolo, Plateau’s Bassa Local Government Area.

Gyang, who represents the Plateau North Senatorial District in the state, said the gesture was part of his constituency projects when he inaugurated the project on Monday.

Gyang stated that education remained one of his main concerns and that he had done a lot in terms of infrastructure development to raise the standard of education in his constituency.

He stated that the project, which is based at an institution that produces preachers, would go a long way toward ensuring that the students learn in a more conducive environment.

“I thank God and the people of Plateau North Senatorial Zone for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to serve them.” This project, which we are launching today, is one of many infrastructure development projects we have completed in the education sector throughout the zone.

“Like in other areas, we have placed a high value on education because we believe it is the foundation of any society.”

“More importantly, this college is a training ground for gospel ministers, and we believe that with these facilities, they will learn in a more conducive environment,” he said.

Gyang urged the institution’s management to put the facilities to good use, particularly for the advancement of theological education in Nigeria.

He also urged the people of the zone to continue to pray for and support him in order for democracy’s dividends to be delivered, particularly at the grassroots level.

The president of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev. Stephen Panya-Baba, thanked the senator for the gesture.

Panya-Baba, who was represented by his vice, Rev. Stephen Ajise, urged the lawmaker to continue working on the project, saying the church was proud of him.

He stated that the project would address the school’s infrastructure deficit, and that students would now be able to learn in a more conducive environment.
