Work for God, shun evil acts, youth pastor advises youths
He gave the advice on Sunday, at the commencement of the 2022 Youth Week programme of the First Baptist Church, Akwanga, Nasarawa State.
The clergy, in his sermon, called on youths to honour God with their time and resources when they are young.
According to him, youths should desist from seeking God only when they are in need.
“Work for God, some people want to work for God, but they lack a relationship with Him. If you must work for God effectively, you must have a cordial partnership with Him.” he said
Rev. Abiola Aremu, the Pastor in Charge of the Church, called on Christians to live a sacrificial life by contributing to the things of God.
The pastor, who gave the advice while dedicating a pulpit donated by the youth fellowship to the church, noted that sacrifices yield eternal rewards.
“Living a life of sacrifice is so rewarding. If you sow in tears, you will reap in joy.
“There are some prayers that do not get answered until you learn how to sacrifice. So, you have to sacrifice and you will get the reward, I can assure you,” he said.
The event, entitled “Bread of Life” featured the presentation of awards to five past presidents of the youth fellowship since its inception.
